Windows 7 Service Pack 1 has many improvements like HDMI Audio performance and lot of visual and performance improvements. Virtualization of GPU is there on the server side for 3-D user experience. Service Pack 1 also adds support for AVX (Advanced Vector Extensions) i.e. a 256-bit instruction set for the processor. As Identification Federation Service, it adds support for Advanced Format 512e. Certain capabilities and programs that were a part of Windows Vista are no longer present or have been changed, resulting in the removal of certain functionalities; these include the classic Start Menu user interface, some taskbar features, Windows Explorer features, Windows Media Player features, Windows Ultimate Extras, Search button, and InkBall. Four applications bundled with Windows Vista — Windows Photo Gallery, Windows Movie Maker, Windows Calendar and Windows Mail — are not included with Windows 7 and were replaced by Windows Live-branded versions as part of the Windows Live Essentials suite.
